Building the Children's Hospital for Wales

Ocean Quest have been raising funds for the Noah's Ark children's Hospital Appeal for 3 years and as part of the ongoing fund raising project we have organised a string of events known as Dive Aid.

The Noah's Ark Appeal www.noahs-ark-appeal.org having recently built and equipped a new building up at the Heath Hospital in Cardiff. They have a huge fish tank in their reception on the first floor of the Ocean Ward, the tank is currently fishless!!

So, we have stepped in to raise funds for them to stock this to all the glory of the World's finest dive sites. We are also attempting to raise funds to finalise the Ocean Ward on the first floor of the Children's Hospital, so the facility can move into their next stage, including a teenage cancer unit, a children's eye clinic and a private garden.

On the 16th December 2007 at 8.00pm the qualified divers of Ocean Quest commenced a 24 hour Dive-athon at the Heath Hospital Leisure centre swimming pool
Donations so far have exceeded £3000.

A big congratulations to Jacob Morris and Rob Holt who were successful in staying underwater for just over 7 hours without surfacing.

Leading up to this years event we have countless opportunities for people to come down to our Tuesday night (Swansea) and Saturday morning (Cardiff) Pool Sessions to Try Diving. We will take anyone in the water for a donation towards The Noah's Ark Appeal.

So if you have never been in the water before or are Nemo's bigger brother please join in and help us show the kids in the hospital that fish are friends. Thanks for all your support.
